In this vital role, you will lead a classroom of energetic toddlers, creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help shape positive early experiences, fostering a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. As a leader in our team, you will coordinate daily activities, mentor assistant teachers, and ensure that all children receive personalized care and attention aligned with best practices in childhood development. Responsibilities Plan and implement dynamic daily lesson plans that support toddler development milestones in areas such as language, motor skills, socialization, and emotional regulation. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children. Supervise and guide assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are maintained. Foster strong communication with families by providing regular updates on children's progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and health regulations, to maintain a secure environment for children. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to promote consistency and comfort for toddlers. Support inclusive practices by working with children with diverse needs or disabilities through individualized strategies and collaboration with specialists when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare or early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable. Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques. Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists to foster a collaborative environment. Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not mandatory. Passion for nurturing young children's growth through engaging activities that promote learning through play.
