Preschool TeacherJob Summary Brilla Sprouts Daycare is seeking a passionate, caring, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate loves working with young children and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Preschool Teacher, you will plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and school readiness. You will build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators while supporting each child's unique developmental journey. This is a full-time paid position with opportunities for professional development and career growth. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with Colorado Early Learning & Development Guidelines. Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning. Support children's development in language, literacy, math, science, social-emotional skills, fine and gross motor skills, and early problem-solving. Maintain daily classroom schedules including circle time, small group activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and enrichment activities. Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and communicate milestones with families. Foster positive behavior using developmentally appropriate guidance and classroom management techniques. Maintain accurate records, attendance, daily reports, and classroom documentation using Brightwheel or other childcare management systems. Ensure compliance with Colorado licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and childcare best practices. Build strong relationships with parents through daily communication, conferences, and family engagement activities. Collaborate with the Director and teaching team to develop curriculum, classroom activities, and special events. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment. Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Support children with varying developmental needs by adapting activities when appropriate. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience working in a licensed preschool or early childhood education setting preferred. Must meet Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) teacher qualifications. Current PDIS training and required Colorado Early Childhood professional development. CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass all required background checks. Strong understanding of child development for children ages 3-5 years. Experience implementing play-based, child-centered learning experiences. Knowledge of positive guidance and classroom management strategies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, organized, patient, and enthusiastic. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day. Preferred Qualifications CDA (Child Development Associate), Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Experience with Colorado Shines, Universal Preschool (UPK), or Creative Curriculum, Frog Street, HighScope, or similar early childhood curricula. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Experience working with children of diverse cultural and developmental backgrounds.
