Benefits:

All Employees will accrue Personal Time (PTO) at the rate of 3.8 hours earned for every 40 hours worked. PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year. Sick Pay Holiday Birthday off with pay

Responsibilities:

Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for the children in your class Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...). Track children's progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche. Collaborate with other educators. If needed help with potty training Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience working in a licensed childcare facility Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as a mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
