Employee discounts Flexible schedule Training & development Wellness resources We are seeking a 3-year-old Lead Teacher to join our licensed Preschool program of 22 years in Fort Collins! Our center is located within the Genesis Health Clubs (Miramont South) facility. Compensation for the Lead Teacher position starts at $18 per hour, with higher rates available based on qualifications. It is a great opportunity to be part of our special early childhood community @Genesis Preschool! This is a part-time, school-year position, in addition to having all Poudre School District calendar days and summers off. Hours may vary between 20-35 hours/week; Monday-Friday. Preschool begins Monday, August 31st: teachers report back Thursday, August 20th.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for reading, signing off and having clarity regarding information from the morning communication log. Competent with opening and closing procedures; including cleaning and sanitizing the classroom daily. Accountable for ensuring preschool-use areas are on brand. Adhere to Preschool policies and procedures as defined in the Preschool team member handbook. Adhere to State and Health Department rules and regulations for a licensed Childcare. Work in conjunction with the Preschool Director to move the Team A+. Study the industry and continually gain new learning in the field of child development; secure and maintain all certifications in the required timeline by Genesis and the
State:
Genesis 101, OSHA training, CPR/First Aid Certified, Standard Precautions training, Child Abuse & Neglect training, FEMA training, Building Premises Safety training, etc… Participate in ongoing training for the Preschool by completing trainings according to the State licensing requirements each year. Plan and implement curriculum for the Preschool and incorporate lessons into 10 Learning Domains. Make the lesson plans available weekly to the Preschool Director and parents. Provide detailed plans and materials for a substitute to follow due to an absence. Send out regular communication to the parents. Attend Team meetings and events and support fellow Team members in doing the same. Work to develop strong relationships with children, families, and Team members. Commit to creating an on-brand, enjoyable and inviting atmosphere for both the preschool community and Team within the department. Create, maintain, and continue to grow a PDIS file in Colorado Shines to move the Preschool A+ through the different QRIS levels. Use DAP (developmentally appropriate practices) in lesson planning and in accessing a child's development throughout the school year.
