Job Description

Young Peoples Learning Center is a privately owned child care center here in Fort Collins and we are looking for a nurturing lead infant teacher to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met in our older infant classroom (9 to 18 months)! As an infant teacher, you will be required to work cooperatively with at least one other co-teacher as well as other staff, plan and lead classroom activities, build relationships children through play and interaction, communicate with parents in person and through our app, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. You should also be an excellent role model for our students and love playing on the floor with kids! To be successful as an infant teacher, you should be creative, energetic, passionate, calm and nurturing. Top candidates will possess a thorough understanding of child development, the importance of the environment, and the integral role relationship building plays in early childhood development.
Infant Teacher Responsibilities:
Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development. Encouraging self-expression through play Tending to students' basic needs diapering, feeding, putting to sleep, etc. Modelling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty. Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times. Working with families to gain insight into students' home lives. Tracking and informing parents of students' progress. Attending parent and staff meetings.
