Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional skills. Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool activities, and special education needs. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Engage children in educational activities including lesson planning for subjects like math, physical education, and Montessori methods to stimulate cognitive growth. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Maintain detailed records of each child's development milestones, attendance, and assessments aligned with standardized testing protocols when applicable. Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met by supervising daily routines, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures. Experience Prior classroom management experience in early childhood education or daycare settings is essential. Demonstrated expertise working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers. Experience with curriculum development tailored to early intervention programs or special education is highly valued. Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy strategies, and classroom activities aligned with Montessori or similar pedagogies. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of childhood development principles, childcare best practices, and child welfare policies. Previous experience in private school or daycare environments enhances your ability to adapt quickly to diverse educational settings. Pay:
$21.54 - $25.94 per hour
