A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Infant Toddler Teacher for our Early Head Start Classroom at our Sharon's Place Early Learning Center located in Bethel. An Infant Toddler Teacher is part of a teaching team, under the direction of a Lead Teacher. This position is 40 hours and year-round. Position anticipated to start in Fall 2026 .
Starting Pay Range :
$18.42-$19.42/hour depending on education and experience This position iscurrentlyeligible for anadditionalmonthly wage supplement through the State of Maine Early Childhood Educator Workforce Salary Supplement Program. Collaborate with Lead Teacher and contribute to high-qualityinfant and toddlerprogramming Planning activities and tailoring curriculum to meet children's social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive development Communicating with and supporting families in meet their children's and families' needs

Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED is required, with a commitment to complete an agency-paid Child Development Associate credential program or enroll in approved college coursework or a program that will lead to an Associate within two years of the time of hire Associate's degree is preferred
Other Requirements:
Experience in an early childhood setting; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team; excellent communication skills; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high-energy activities; competency with Microsoft Office; ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
