In this role, you will lead classroom activities designed to foster developmental growth for children in the pre-toddler age group, typically from one to two . Your expertise will help create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that supports early childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills. As a leader in our program, you will mentor assistant teachers, implement curriculum plans, and ensure a safe and stimulating space for young learners to thrive. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for pre-toddlers. Lead daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, sensory play, and early literacy exercises aligned with best practices in early childhood education. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques to foster a respectful learning environment. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional strategies. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs or interventions required. Ensure compliance with all safety standards, health regulations, and licensing requirements related to childcare and preschool settings. Incorporate specialized approaches such as Montessori methods or inclusive practices for children with special education needs or requiring early intervention services. Experience Degree or credits in Early Childhood Education Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings, preferably in pre-toddler or toddler care environments. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Experience developing curricula that include literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and sensory learning opportunities. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable. Previous experience in private schools or daycare centers that emphasize early childhood education methods such as Montessori is a plus.
