Job Description

Room To Grow has the following full time position and part time position available. Experience is required for both positions.
FULL TIME WORKING WITH INFANTS
Monday
  • Friday 9:00 AM
  • 5:30 PM
  • PART
TIME WORKING WITH SCHOOL AGED KIDS
Monday
  • Friday 3:30 PM
  • 6:00 PM (Additional hours available at times)
  • Substitute teacher hours are also available
  • Room To Grow is a childcare (daycare) center in Litchfield CT, and is licensed for 74 children.
We were established in 1990, which means we are in our 36th year serving Litchfield and the surrounding communities! Our director was originally trained in the Montessori philosophy, and has been employed as the director at Room To Grow for over 25 years. She is organized and efficient at supporting the needs of the staff, children, and families. A lifelong local resident, she understands the needs of our community. In the year 2000, Room to Grow became inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Education, and we have been incorporating this philosophy into our programs ever since. The Reggio Emilia Approach is innovative and inspiring. It values the child as strong, capable and resilient
  • rich with wonder and knowledge.
All children, even the very young, bring with them deep curiosity and potential. This innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it. Our staff help set up activities and the environment so that children can explore their interests and developmental needs. We have books and materials to help train our new staff members so they can implement this style of teaching.
