Assistant Teacher Middlefield Children's Center, a cooperative Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool in Middlefield, is seeking to hire assistant teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year, following the calendar of Regional School District 13. Assistant teachers work with lead teachers to ensure that all routines are carried out in a secure, pleasant atmosphere; supervise children in structured and free choice activities; assist teachers and the director in the preparation and cleanup of activities; assist in snack and lunch periods; and provide support to students as needed. Full-time and part-time configurations are possible. Pay is $17-$22/hour based on credentials and experience. Role could be combined with a position as a Lead Teacher (different pay scale) on Tuesday & Thursday mornings, pending student enrollment. Afterschool Program Coordinator Middlefield Children's Center, a cooperative Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool in Middlefield, is seeking to hire an afterschool program coordinator for the 2026-2027 academic year, following the calendar of Regional School District 13. Hours will be 3:15-5:15pm five days a week, and can be applied for as a standalone position or in combination with Assistant Teacher openings we have during the regular school day. The afterschool program coordinator will be responsible for a small group of both preschoolers and lower elementary students. With an assistant teacher, they will offer a secure, pleasant atmosphere for outdoor play, indoor play, and homework help as needed. Pay is $17-$29/hour based on credentials and experience.
