Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. In this dynamic role, you will create a warm, engaging environment tailored to preschool developmental needs, fostering growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical areas. Your expertise will inspire curiosity and confidence in our littlest learners while ensuring their safety and well-being are always prioritized. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the earliest stages of childhood development. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth in infants. Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Engage with children through interactive activities, play-based learning, and individualized attention to support developmental milestones. Monitor and document each child's progress, adjusting lesson plans to meet their unique needs and abilities. Collaborate with families to share insights on their child's development and provide guidance on early intervention strategies when necessary. Manage classroom routines, including potty training, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with health standards. Uphold policies related to child welfare, safety protocols, behavior management, and classroom management to ensure a secure learning space. Experience Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare setting or preschool environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Experience developing curriculum content focused on literacy education, physical education, and social skills for young children. Classroom management skills that foster positive behavior and create an inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners. Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with Experience Curriculum, NAEYC, CT ELDS, or other specialized early childhood education approaches is a plus. Previous experience in private schools or daycare centers that emphasize child welfare and developmental milestones is advantageous. $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
