Little Lambs & Ivy Child Care Center is looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated Full-Time Early Childhood Teacher to join our growing team! If you have a passion for helping young children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships, we'd love to hear from you. Our teachers create warm, engaging classrooms where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn each day. We believe that early childhood is a time to build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning, and we're looking for educators who share that vision. What You'll Do Create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing classroom environment for children. Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development. Encourage learning through play, exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. Support each child's individual learning style and developmental needs. Use positive guidance techniques to encourage respectful behavior and social-emotional growth. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment. Complete daily observations, assessments, and required documentation. Communicate regularly with families regarding children's growth, accomplishments, and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a supportive and positive school community.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Passionate about early childhood education. Patient, caring, and dependable. Creative, energetic, and enjoys working as part of a team. Committed to providing high-quality care and education. Organized, flexible, and eager to continue learning and growing professionally. Qualifications Experience working with young children in a childcare center, preschool, nursery school, or similar early childhood setting is preferred. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred (or working toward a degree). Must meet Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) employment requirements. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Ability to actively participate in all classroom activities, including lifting, bending, sitting on the floor, and supervising outdoor play.
