Play to Learn Childcare is looking for caring, energetic, and dependable Preschool Teachers / Childcare Teachers to join our team in Stamford, CT. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions. Whether you're an experienced childcare professional, beginning your career in Early Childhood Education, returning to the workforce, or looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity, we'd love to hear from you! At Play to Learn, you'll have the opportunity to create meaningful learning experiences, build positive relationships with children and families, and make a lasting difference in children's lives. What You'll Do Depending on your experience and role, responsibilities may include: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning activities for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Assist with or lead lesson plans, monthly themes, and classroom activities Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods Encourage positive behavior using age-appropriate guidance techniques Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Observe children's progress and communicate appropriately with families and the teaching team Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and the Center Director Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Follow Connecticut childcare licensing regulations and center policies We're Looking For Someone Who Loves working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children Has childcare, daycare, preschool, babysitting, or early childhood education experience (preferred, but not required) Has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or is working toward a CDA or CT Teaching Credential (preferred) Is patient, caring, dependable, and positive Communicates effectively with children, parents, and coworkers Works well independently and as part of a team Is comfortable actively participating in classroom activities throughout the day Can occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
