Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will be creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers. Your leadership will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children's development through innovative curriculum development, personalized care, and classroom management. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a love of learning and supporting families through compassionate communication and expert guidance. Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Lead daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, physical education, and hands-on learning experiences tailored to toddlers' needs. Monitor individual progress through observation and assessment tools and informal evaluations; adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent quality of care and educational standards. Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and childcare best practices while fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds. Requirements Proven classroom experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Experience with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and child welfare practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
