Job Description

Internal applicants only The Lead Teacher provides instructional support through the MTSS process, classroom support, and administrative assistance within the school program. Reporting directly to the School Director and Program Coordinator, this role ensures educational compliance, supports student PPT (Planning and Placement Team) process needs, and steps in as the administrative lead when the Director is off-site. Act as the primary building administrator during the Director's absence. Collaborate closely with the Director and Coordinator to oversee daily school operations and uphold policy standards. Assist with the coordination, documentation, and facilitation of PPT meetings as needed. Support the implementation and monitoring of student Individualized Education Programs Guide, mentor, and support classroom teaching staff in curriculum delivery, classroom management, and effective pedagogical practices. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for students, staff, and families.
Qualifications Category Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's preferred). Certifications• Valid State Teaching Certification required.• Intermediate Administrator (092) Certification highly preferred. ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience; background in Special Education processes and PPT meetings preferred.
