Job Description

Overview Part time and Full time Preschool and Infant Teachers needed in a small private child care center in Trumbull CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves supporting a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills for their future. The teacher will be responsible for supporting the co- teacher in all aspects of the curriculum. Candidate must have great communication skills and works well with others. Responsibilities Working closely with co-teachers to support positive interactions with teachers, children and families Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Support children's progress in various developmental areas, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and appropriate discipline techniques. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities. Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience of all students. Implement physical education activities that promote health, fitness, and teamwork among preschoolers. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that reflects the children's work and learning experiences. Qualifications Minimum of a Child Development Associate Degree Experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
