Pre K Early Childhood Education (ECE) Special Ed Teacher

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract This Special Education teaching position focuses on early childhood education within a public school setting, catering to PreK students with identified special needs. The role involves providing individualized instruction, conducting PPT meetings, and completing progress reports and goal writing to support student development and compliance.

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 12 PreK students Conduct Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to support IEP development and review Complete progress monitoring and goal-writing documentation in alignment with student needs Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student

Qualifications:

Experience teaching PreK in a public school environment is required Valid Connecticut Early Childhood Certification (#112 or #113) is necessary Strong understanding of special education best practices and legal requirements Ability to manage a scheduled 27.5 hours over five days per week, with approximately 5.5 hours each day
