Your expertise in childhood development and classroom management will inspire curiosity and foster growth in every child you care for. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and confidence Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to all health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws Engage with children through play-based activities that support early childhood education principles and developmental milestones Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior management strategies, and daily activities Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development, milestones, and any concerns Collaborate with team members to create inclusive strategies for children with special needs or disabilities, utilizing skills in special education and caregiving Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and child development instruction techniques Experience in infant care and toddler care environments is advantageous Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques for early learners Certification or training in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and CPR is required or highly desirable Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Previous roles involving nannying or babysitting young children can be relevant if complemented by formal early childhood education experience Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children while advancing your career in early childhood education.
