Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VPK Lead to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will oversee the development and implementation of the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) curriculum, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. Your leadership will inspire both staff and students, fostering a love for learning while adhering to state standards and best practices in early childhood education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys through innovative lesson planning, classroom management, and personalized instruction. Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate VPK curriculum aligned with state guidelines, incorporating elements of literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable Supervise and support classroom teachers and assistants to ensure high-quality instruction and effective classroom management Develop engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies Monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing, adjusting instructional approaches as needed to meet individual learning needs Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages behavior management, child welfare, and inclusive participation for children with diverse needs including special education Collaborate with families to communicate student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones in a clear and supportive manner Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, safety protocols, and childcare regulations while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere Experience Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong background in early childhood education or related fields Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques Prior experience in VPK programs or preschool environments that utilize Montessori or other specialized educational approaches Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, early intervention practices, and tutoring strategies for young learners Knowledge of childhood development principles, toddler care practices, and child welfare standards Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners Classroom experience in private schools or daycare centers is highly desirable Join us to lead inspiring early learning experiences that shape the future of young children! Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
