Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to foster holistic childhood development. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards to monitor each child's progress in literacy, numeracy, and overall development. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and support early intervention when needed. Incorporate special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs and promote inclusive classroom practices. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, child welfare documentation, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with childcare regulations and educational standards. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or private school setting is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education theories, childhood development milestones, and classroom management techniques. Experience developing curricula that integrate literacy education, math skills, physical activities, and sensory learning approaches such as Montessori methods. Familiarity with working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Previous experience in toddler care or daycare environments will be considered an asset. Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in childhood development topics is encouraged.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
