• Full-time Bumble and Bloom is looking for a dependable, organized, and caring Cook to join our early childhood education team!

As our Cook, you will play an important role in providing nutritious meals and snacks for children while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. Position Type Non-Exempt / Hourly Full-Time or Part-Time (based on center needs) Responsibilities Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to approved menus and nutrition guidelines Follow all food safety, sanitation, and childcare licensing requirements Accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas Complete daily kitchen logs and documentation accurately Receive, store, and manage food and kitchen inventory Ensure proper food handling, labeling, and temperature controls Prepare classroom cleaning bottles daily Support overall center operations as needed Communicate professionally with staff, leadership, and vendors Qualifications Required Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe) Ability to meet physical requirements of the position Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attendance and reliability 45 DCF hours (Florida requirement) Preferred Previous cooking or food service experience Experience working in childcare, schools, or institutional kitchens ServSafe or other food safety certifications Skills & Abilities Knowledge of basic nutrition and food safety Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional communication and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain a clean and tour-ready kitchen Physical Requirements Standing for extended periods Bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the day Working safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment Why Join Bumble and Bloom?
