What they do
A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

Observe children's developmental progress and adjust support based on individual needs Implement ABA-based skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs as directed by the BCBA Collect behavioral data, follow behavior intervention plans, and assist with general behavior management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom aligned with program standards Assist with curriculum support, classroom materials, and overall center cleanliness Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification Bilingual- Spanish or Creole (preferred not required) Experience with ABA; Classroom teacher experience (daycare or school) Experience working with young children (and children with special needs) in childcare or early learning settings Familiarity with Frog Street curriculum preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Ability to obtain and maintain a Medicaid Provider Number Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Easterseals Florida has been rated a Great Place to Work (2020•2025) by our employees!
