  • Part-time, Full-time, Per diem Overview We are a faith-based preschool in Indialantic FL, with an extended day program until 6pm. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic substitute who loves working with children 18 months
  • 5 years old to join our team.
You will step into preschool classrooms to provide temporary nurturing and engaging instruction when regular teachers are unavailable. Your energy and flexibility will help maintain a positive learning environment, ensuring that children continue to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while supporting the foundational development of young children from various backgrounds. Responsibilities Implement daily lesson plans and activities aligned with the curriculum. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful environment. Support children's social-emotional growth through attentive supervision, encouragement, and clear communication. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning Experience managing diverse classroom environments Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Coordinate outdoor play, sports, or recreational activities to encourage physical development and teamwork Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Light cleaning of the classroom upon closing Comforting children during rest and naptime. Applicant must : Pass a background check Be 18 or older Be fingerprinted through Clearinghouse Portal (or willing to be upon employment) Have a positive demeanor Be patient and calm with children Have DCF 45 hours, or willing to begin upon employment This role offers a flexible schedule and can be as little as a few hours a week up to full-time hours depending on the need.
