Job Description

Preschool Teacher (1-Year-Old, 2-Year-Old, and 3-Year-Old Classrooms) Job Overview Thelma B. Pittman Jupiter Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 1 to 3 years old. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Candidates must work well with children, families, and fellow staff members while ensuring compliance with all licensing and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment. Supervise and engage children throughout the day. Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Assist children with daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, and rest time. Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities. Follow all state licensing regulations and preschool policies. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. DCF 45-hour training completed or willingness to complete required training. Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
