Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Teacher to inspire and nurture young children in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to child welfare will help foster a positive foundation for each child's growth. Duties Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development. Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among children. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Support children with special educational needs through tailored early intervention strategies and inclusive teaching practices. Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, including standardized testing results when applicable. Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress, address concerns, and share developmental milestones. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment aligned with childcare regulations and best practices in childhood development. Skills Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education settings. Experience working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers. Familiarity with special education principles and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Classroom management expertise to create a structured yet flexible learning environment. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies like literacy education or physical education. Proven experience in childcare settings or private schools with preschool experience preferred. Knowledge of childhood development milestones, behavior management strategies, and classroom safety protocols. Skills in tutoring or teaching subjects such as math or literacy to young learners. Experience working with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments.
