Openings in Suwannee, Columbia and Hamilton Counties - Early Head Start Teacher Suwannee Valley 4Cs is a Head Start and Early Head Start grantee. Established in 1985, we are a private, non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and their families by offering comprehensive early childhood development services in the area.
Work Schedule:
M-F, 7:30 am- 4:00 pm, 12 month position (Full time)

Assist the Co-Teacher in conducting classroom activities, planning, and recordkeeping, maintaining classroom environment and ratios, and supervising children.
Qualifications:
Infant/Toddler Teacher - Staff Credential Preferred (CDA, FCCPC) Classroom experience working with infants/toddlers preferred Child care training (Parts
I & II - 40
hours) requirement pursuant to Chapter 65C-22, required by DCF 5 Hour Literacy Course as required by DCF Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome training required by DCF to complete at Orientation/within 30 days of hire Must clear Department of Children and Families background screening requirements Must pass physical
Skills:
Ability to lift light to heavy objects from floor level and carry several times a day Ability to get up and down from floor level throughout the day Ability to bend and lift child from floor level to changing table throughout the day (EHS) Ability to establish and maintain warm, nurturing long-term relationships with young children and their families Good communication skills Flexible, resourceful and cooperative attitude; adapts positively to change Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, subordinates/peers Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of low income families with young children Personal commitment to the healthy development of young children Good record-keeping skills EOE / Drug Free Workplace Our Agency is Required to Participate in the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
