Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and energetic Floater Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of all ages, adapts well to different classroom environments, and works collaboratively with teachers and leadership to support daily school operations. This position requires excellent teamwork, organization, and the ability to step in wherever needed while maintaining a positive and nurturing atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist in various classrooms throughout the school, including infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age programs as needed Support lead teachers with daily classroom activities, supervision, transitions, meals, and nap routines Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment Help implement age-appropriate activities and classroom routines Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Ensure compliance with all state licensing, health, and safety regulations Provide consistent supervision and positive guidance for children Adapt quickly to changing classroom needs and schedules Assist with classroom cleaning, organization, and preparation throughout the day Qualifications Experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred Florida DCF 45 Hours Certification required or willingness to obtain within required timeframe CDA or Florida Staff Credential preferred Ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism in all classrooms Strong organizational and communication skills Willing to drive a school van is a plus Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented Experience with Procare and Frog Street curriculum is a plus Must have a positive attitude, smiling face, and genuine love for working with children Skills & Attributes Adaptable and able to transition easily between classrooms Strong teamwork and communication skills Patient, nurturing, and energetic Reliable with strong attention to detail Professional and positive attitude each day Physical Requirements Ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children throughout the day Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions We are looking for someone who is flexible, dependable, and passionate about supporting children, teachers, and families while helping create a positive school environment every day.
