Job Description

The Preschool Floater plays a vital role in supporting our classrooms and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities throughout the school. This position provides assistance where needed; helping teachers, engaging with children, and maintaining a loving, Christ-centered environment that reflects our school's mission and values. Floaters are flexible, dependable, and passionate about working with children of all ages. They serve as an extra set of hands and a warm heart, ensuring that each classroom continues to be a place where children feel safe, valued, and loved through the example of Jesus Christ. Support lead teachers and assistants in classrooms ranging from infants through preschool. Maintain a nurturing and safe environment that encourages children's spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth. Step into classrooms as needed to provide breaks, coverage, or assistance with group activities. Build positive, Christ-centered relationships with children, families, and staff. Model and teach Christian values such as love, patience, kindness, respect, and gratitude. Assist with daily routines including circle time, meals, diapering/potty breaks, and transitions. Help prepare materials and maintain classroom cleanliness and organization. Communicate effectively with teachers and the Director to ensure smooth classroom operations. Participate in prayer and professional development opportunities. Follow all licensing, health, and safety guidelines.
