Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other child-centered approaches. Facilitate engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills development tailored to preschool-aged children. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports child welfare and behavior management. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor each child's developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare while maintaining accurate documentation of student progress. Maintain current knowledge of early intervention strategies, special education accommodations, and childhood development best practices to support diverse learner needs. Skills Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing age-appropriate instructional strategies. Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention techniques, and special education requirements. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering positive social interactions among students. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is highly valued. Familiarity with Montessori methods or experience teaching physical education enhances your ability to create well-rounded learning experiences.
