Job Description

Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Worker, Assistant, or Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. VPK Teachers are highly desirable. You will engage with toddlers to preschoolers, supporting their developmental milestones through playful learning and compassionate caregiving. Your proactive approach will help create a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social skills, and early learning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in childhood education and classroom management. Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children. Provide attentive care and instruction while ensuring safety at all times. Manage daily classroom routines including meal times, nap times, and playtime with a focus on health and hygiene standards. Monitor children's behavior using effective behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions and social skills. Maintain detailed records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or health concerns. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's development and address individual needs or special accommodations. Ensure the classroom environment is clean, organized, and engaging by setting up learning materials and maintaining safety protocols such as first aid readiness. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare settings or early childhood education environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education. Experience with classroom management techniques that support positive behavior and inclusive learning environments. Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities to ensure inclusive care. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in early childhood education is a plus. Previous nannying, babysitting, and volunteer experience demonstrating responsibility for child safety and engagement. Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds while maintaining patience, compassion, and professionalism.
