Job Description

NOTE:
We are looking to hire very soon for these positions. Job Summary Heritage Preschool is looking for part-time afternoon daycare teachers. This job is Monday-Friday. Split shifts are available, as well as additional opportunities to receive extra hours (substituting), if desired. Duties Supervise children during afternoon hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Support children with diapering, pottying, snack time, and other daily routines as needed Enforce classroom rules and behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
MUST OVER THE AGE OF 21
Must be reliable, energetic, and passionate about supporting young children's growth and learning A team player, and can work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt to their surroundings/environment due to the nature of the position Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training encouraged Ability to effectively supervise multiple children while maintaining a calm, attentive demeanor Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies If you are enthusiastic about early childhood and eager to make a positive impact during the afternoon hours, we invite you to join our dedicated team!
