Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social skills. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among toddlers. Transport children to and from local schools, field trips, and scheduled activities. Engage children in activities that support physical development, including teaching basic motor skills and movement exercises. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to foster cooperation and emotional regulation. Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss individual needs, and support ongoing developmental goals. Incorporate principles of special education and early intervention when working with children who require additional support. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, developmental milestones, and any incidents or observations relevant to each child's welfare. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Experience in toddler care, classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development. Ability to work effectively with children, demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suitable for early learners. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists such as speech therapists or special educators. Knowledge of behavior management techniques tailored for young children to promote positive social interactions. Experience with standardized testing or assessments related to early childhood progress is a plus. Competence in classroom experience including daycare or preschool settings; private school experience is advantageous. Skills in teaching physical education activities that support gross motor skills development. Understanding of child welfare practices ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
