Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children from infants to 5 years old and a passion for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The Lead Preschool Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and working collaboratively with team members to support each child's individual growth and development.

Responsibilities:

Create and implement daily lesson plans that support early childhood learning and development in alignment with curriculum goals. Establish a warm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, secure, and excited to learn. Observe and assess children's progress and adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of each child. Engage with children in both structured and unstructured activities to foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and needs. Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom space and materials. Adhere to all school policies and regulations regarding safety and health protocols.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience working with children from infancy to 5 years old in an educational or childcare setting. CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or equivalent required; additional early childhood education certifications preferred. 45 Hours Proficient in English; bilingual abilities in Spanish and Creole are highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to create lesson plans that are age-appropriate and engaging. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a positive impact on young children's lives.
