The teacher plans and implements engaging curriculum that supports social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while fostering a love of learning. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with early childhood standards Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior guidance Observe, document, and assess children's progress and development Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and guardians Collaborate with teaching team and administration Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development Qualifications CDA credential or equivalent (may be required based on state regulations) Previous experience working with preschool-aged children Knowledge of child development and classroom management strategies Strong communication and interpersonal skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet state and center background check requirements Skills & Competencies Patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with young children Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Creativity in lesson planning and classroom engagement Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move quickly as needed throughout the day Work Environment Classroom-based preschool setting Indoor and outdoor supervision required
