Job Description

L'Atelier School, located in South Miami, Florida, is currently seeking full-time teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a unique opportunity to join a vibrant educational community deeply committed to transforming education through relationships, creativity, research, and collaboration. We are looking for educators who are passionate about the role schools play in today's world and who believe education can make a meaningful social impact in the lives of children, families, and communities. At L'Atelier, teachers are researchers, collaborators, learners, and creators. For more than 30 years, L'Atelier School has been a pioneer in bringing the Reggio Emilia philosophy to South Florida. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and connected through ongoing collaborations with organizations such as NAREA, Reggio Children, and educational contexts throughout South America and beyond, L'Atelier has built a unique educational project dedicated to children, families, educators, and the wider community. We serve children from 1 to 6 years old and seek educators who see pedagogy as a living, evolving, and essential aspect of learning. Candidates should value reflective practice, collaboration, research, professional growth, and the image of the child as capable, curious, and full of potential. We are looking for teachers who are: Charismatic and joyful Creative and enthusiastic Collaborative and reflective Passionate about learning and professional growth Inspired by research, documentation, and contemporary education Excited to work within a strong community of children, families, and educators Primary Responsibilities Design, organize, and facilitate meaningful daily experiences that support children's development within the philosophy and intentions of the school. Foster positive relationships and communication among children, families, and faculty. Serve as a cooperative and supportive member of both the classroom and the larger school community. Participate actively in ongoing professional development through reflection, research, literature, workshops, conferences, and study opportunities connected to the Reggio Emilia Approach and contemporary education. Document children's learning processes and make learning visible through pedagogical documentation. Maintain meaningful and consistent communication with families regarding classroom experiences and children's development. Bring creativity, initiative, sensitivity, and a spirit of collaboration to daily practice. Requirements DCF 45 Hours Certification required
FCCPC/CDA
required CPR and First Aid Certification required Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Teacher Strong English speaking and writing skills required AA/AS or BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field L'Atelier School is a place for educators who believe learning is relational, creative, research-driven, and deeply human.
