Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated lead VPK and Toddler caregiver to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will provide nurturing, safe, and engaging care for VPK and toddlers, fostering their developmental growth through age-appropriate activities and attentive supervision. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a warm, stimulating environment where young children feel secure, loved, and eager to explore. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety at all times. Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, language development, and social-emotional growth. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment tailored to the needs of young children. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences. Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment. Observe and document each child's developmental progress, behavior patterns, and individual needs to inform ongoing care strategies. Collaborate with team members to manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management strategies effectively. Skills Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare or preschool settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and pediatric first aid required or willing to obtain upon hire. Strong understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
