In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging environment that fosters creativity, teamwork, and personal development. Your energy and commitment will help shape positive experiences for children during after-school hours, making a lasting impact on their lives. Responsibilities Lead engaging activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth in a variety of settings including arts, sports, theater, and educational games. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and implementing proper behavior management techniques. Manage classroom dynamics effectively through strong classroom management skills, creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued. Provide support for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or additional behavioral support. Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health protocols to ensure a safe environment for all participants. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff to communicate progress and address any concerns related to child development or behavior. Assist in planning and executing special events or themed activities that enhance the after-school experience. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, tutoring, babysitting, or early childhood education is highly preferred. Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds while maintaining patience and enthusiasm. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
