Early Childhood Education Teacher We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team at Divine Savior Academy. As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for young children. Our Early Childhood Education Teachers will be mindful of our mission that states we are providing excellence in education rooted in the timeless truths of God's Word. Duties Creates and delivers effective lessons and assessments in the classroom Developing a classroom management plan/procedure that ensures learning can take place Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior Use technology and other visual aids that enhance learning Differentiates lessons as needed for varied types of learners Strives to implement by instruction and action the philosophy of education of DSA and instructional goals and objectives. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required Keeps the grade book current and up-to-date to ensure accurate records and communication Nurtures a positive school environment for our students and their families Creates opportunities to strengthen the school culture of DSA by having open communication with the students and parents Be responsible for the supervision of all children in the school. Responding to emails and requests for information in a timely manner Seeks to do ministry in all interactions with the students and family Works in an effective manner with colleagues Support one another in our mutual ministry to the children Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required Strives to maintain and improve professional competence Be continually aware of their responsibilities as members of a team ministry Deal with staff or other personal conflict problems in a Christ-like manner Works in an effective manner with colleagues Support one another in our mutual ministry to the children Support the efforts and direction of the principal in a spirit of Christian service (I Corinthians 12:28-29). Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, DSA policy, and administrative regulation Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect student equipment, materials, and facilities Keep the principal advised of all important classroom information, discipline matters, and departures from usual routines Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Education a related field 2 years minimum experience as an Early Childhood Education Teacher Ability to work proficiently in a diverse, multicultural setting Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills. A desire to actively support the ministerial objectives of Divine Savior Lutheran Church and Academy Exemplary Christian role model who lets his or her "light shine" when interacting with the DSA Family and the community. Physical Requirements The ability to stand and walk for extended periods Good vision and hearing Fine motor skills for handling small objects Clear speech The capacity to lift and move classroom materials Sufficient physical stamina to keep up with active young children throughout the day Reports to:
