Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional learning Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies Assess individual student progress through observations, standardized testing, and formative assessments to tailor instruction accordingly Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to maintain high-quality childcare standards Maintain accurate documentation of student development, attendance records, and incident reports in compliance with licensing requirements Requirements Proven experience in preschool or early childhood education with a strong background in classroom management and curriculum development Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies A CDA or FCCPC with a VPK credential is required.
