Preschool Teacher (Temporary Maternity Leave Position) Kidology Academy Winter Haven, FL Job Details Temporary $15 - $16 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team while one of our teachers is on maternity leave. This is a temporary full-time position with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive, family-oriented childcare center. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development. Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment. Supervise children at all times and ensure their health and safety. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Assist children with daily routines, including meals, rest time, and bathroom needs as appropriate. Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization by sanitizing toys and surfaces and keeping materials organized. Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with families and staff. Follow all licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications:
Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred. DCF 45-hour training (or willingness to complete if required). CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain. Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills. Dependable, flexible, and positive attitude. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
Position Details:
Temporary position to cover a maternity leave. Full-time hours.
Start date:
08/19/2026 Expected duration: 6 weeks. Pay is based on experience. If you are passionate about helping young children learn and grow, we'd love to hear from you! Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
