- Full-time Job Summary The Toddler Lead Teacher at Amazing Minds Learning Academy is responsible for creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for toddlers aged 1-2 years. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering developmental milestones, and maintaining effective communication with parents and colleagues. Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement a dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum that promotes cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Create engaging activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs and interests of each child.
Childcare and Supervision:
- Provide attentive and responsive care to ensure the safety and well-being of each toddler.
- Establish and maintain a consistent daily routine, including activities, meals, naps, and outdoor play.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Health and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including hygiene practices, meal preparation, and sanitation procedures.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the classroom and playground equipment.
- Administer first aid and medication as required, following proper procedures.
Assessment and Documentation:
- Observe and document each child's progress, developmental milestones, and areas for growth.
- Prepare detailed reports for parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates on each child's progress.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant information.
Parent and Community Relations:
- Build strong relationships with parents through effective communication and regular updates.
- Provide guidance and support to parents on child development and learning activities.
- Encourage parent involvement in classroom activities and events.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom aides. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, a related field Or currently in school.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting, with at least 1 year in a lead teaching role.
Certifications:
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Background check clearance.
- Additional certifications as required by state regulations.
