Lesson plans should meet guidelines set forth by Adora Early Learning Academy and the South Carolina Early Education Standards. Create an environment in the classroom that promotes play-based learning and self-exploration. Prepare and conduct organized outdoor activities on a regular basis. Conduct assessments and developmental screening on students and keep an accurate portfolio of their individual progress. Meet with parents on a semi-annual basis and as needed to discuss their child's progress and developmental goals. Communicate with parents effectively on a regular basis. Inform parents of children's daily activities through a consistent form of communication. (i.e. Daily Sheets, Classroom App, Communication Folder etc.) Meet the children's basic needs in a prompt manner. This includes but is not limited to feeding, diapering, cleaning, assisting with toileting and any other needs that may arise. Have a passion for working with children and early education. Must have a kid friendly attitude. Maintain a professional demeanor with parents, children, and staff at all times. Become familiar with state regulations and implement them in the classroom setting. Clean, sanitize and organize classroom or other locations in the facility on a daily routine basis or when prompted. Obtain and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification. Must successfully meet and maintain required screenings required by state licensing and Adora ELA. Meet state licensing training hour requirements. Must have 6 months experience in a licensed childcare facility and/or degree in early childhood development or related field. Second language may be preferred. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for extended periods of time. Must be flexible with hours and be a team player. Must be dependable and reliable. Conduct other classroom or center duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Management or related field preferred 1+ years of experience in a licensed childcare facility Ability to pass all required background checks Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently without direct supervision at all times Ability to take direction and criticism Ability to communicate to communicate with adults and children Excellent communication and organizational skills CPR & First Aid-Preferred Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and knowledge PTO Paid Holidays Supplemental Insurance Wellness package 401K Bonus opportunities
