Non-Exempt Location:
Atlanta, GA 30312 (Applicants must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to start) Position Overview Grant Park Cooperative Preschool (GPCP), a Reggio Emilia-inspired learning community rooted in child-centered and relationship-based practices, is seeking three thoughtful and reliable Floating Educators with a background or interest in expressive arts (music, yoga, dance, fine arts, sculpting) to support our classrooms throughout the day. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working across multiple age groups in a collaborative, dynamic environment. Floating Educators play a vital role in sustaining the daily rhythm of the school by providing consistent care, responsive support, and flexible coverage across classrooms serving children from infancy through preschool. Key Responsibilities Support lead and assistant educators during daily routines, including transitions, outdoor exploration, nap time, and end-of-day care Provide flexible coverage across classrooms serving children from infancy through preschool Build responsive, trusting relationships with children through presence, play, and meaningful interaction Integrate expressive arts (music, movement, visual arts, etc.) into classroom experiences when appropriate Maintain a calm, attentive, and nurturing presence across a variety of classroom environments Assist with classroom organization, tidying, and preparation during transitions and shift changes Collaborate with teaching teams to support consistency in care, supervision, and classroom expectations Uphold GPCP's mission, values, and commitment to relationship-based and equitable practice Qualifications Experience working with young children in a formal or informal setting preferred Background or strong interest in expressive arts (music, yoga, dance, visual arts, or similar) Enthusiasm for play-based, child-led learning and a willingness to learn more about the Reggio Emilia approach Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments with confidence and professionalism Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills Dependable, flexible, and committed to showing up with care and consistency each day Ability to maintain a calm and supportive presence in a fast-paced, dynamic setting Why Join GPCP?
