In this dynamic role, you'll lead engaging activities, foster a positive environment, and support children's growth through educational and recreational programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your leadership and childcare skills. Whether you're passionate about sports, arts, theater, or child development, your enthusiasm will help create unforgettable summer experiences for young campers. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games to ensure fun and educational experiences. Maintain a safe environment by supervising children at all times and implementing proper behavior management techniques. Provide first aid when necessary, adhering to safety protocols to address minor injuries promptly. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by applying inclusive teaching strategies and working closely with specialized staff. Foster positive relationships with campers through active engagement, encouragement, and Christian counseling principles when applicable. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress or concerns. Assist in setting up camp spaces, organizing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of activity areas. Skills Strong classroom management skills to guide children's behavior positively and effectively. Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or daycare environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles to tailor activities appropriately for different age groups. Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations using first aid skills. Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those in special education programs. Passion for teaching, tutoring, or mentoring children through engaging activities like sports coaching or theater arts.
