GA Pre-K Lead Teacher Location:
Canton, GA 30115 Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GA Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Canton, GA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and committed to supporting the developmental needs of Pre-K children in accordance with Georgia's Pre-K program standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Georgia Pre-K standards. Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Assess and document children's progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and guardians. Collaborate with assistant teachers, staff, and administration to ensure program quality and compliance. Maintain accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities. Ensure compliance with all state licensing and GA Pre-K program requirements. Qualifications Valid Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher certification or eligibility. Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Experience working with Pre-K aged children in a classroom setting. Strong knowledge of Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
