In this role, you will engage with children across various age groups, from infants to preschoolers, creating a safe, stimulating space that promotes their developmental milestones. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support childhood development, including play-based learning and educational exercises. Supervise children during daily routines such as meals, naps, outdoor play, and classroom activities to ensure safety and engagement. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies. Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents while adhering to licensing standards. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs or concerns. Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and excellent communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of young children and the daycare setting.
