Grayson Academy is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment where young children can grow and thrive. We are looking for a passionate educator to join our team and lead our 3-year-old Pre-K classroom.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher with experience in early childhood education to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment for our 3-year-old students. Childcare teacher responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Plan, implement, and lead age-appropriate curriculum and activities Manage the classroom program and environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively and positively Schedule smooth daily transitions and maintain a structured routine Ensure compliance with Quality Rated standards and expectations Follow all BFTS rules and regulations Communicate effectively with parents and staff Observe, update, and maintain each child's developmental records. Provide feedback to co-teachers regarding classroom activities and child development. Collaborate with the Director and parents to resolve classroom or academic challenges. Maintain accurate child records. Take daily attendance. Follow posted classroom schedule consistently. Keep the classroom clean, safe, and hazard-free. Participate in center events. Assist in training new staff members. Perform additional duties as assigned. Lift at least 30 lbs from floor to standing. Sweep, mop, clean, and disinfect classrooms daily. Respond quickly to children's needs with full awareness and attention.
Qualifications:
CDA, TCC, or relevant degree required Strong classroom management skills Skilled in planning and scheduling transitions Knowledge of Quality Rated standards and BFTS regulations Passion for nurturing and educating young children

GA PDS Level 1 $12/hr GA PDS Level 2 $13/hr GA PDS Level 3 $14/hr GA PDS Level 4 $15/hr GA PDS Level 5 & 6 $16/hr GA PDS Level 7 $17/hr GA PDS Level 8 $18/hr GA PDS Level 9 $19/hr GA PDS Level 10 $20/hr All closing positions working until 8pm add an additional $1.00/hr For more information on GA PDS Levels click here: https://gapds.decal.ga.gov/documents/CareerLevels.pdf Credential must be verified through GA PDS to obtain the pay associated with that pay level.
