Infant/1-Year Old Teacher

Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional growth for infants and one-year-olds. Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, nutrition, hygiene, and safety needs in accordance with best practices in childcare and early intervention. Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and engagement among young children. Support children's physical development through teaching physical education activities suitable for their age group. Utilize behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and address any behavioral challenges compassionately. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, milestones, and any special education or developmental needs. Maintain detailed lesson plans, classroom records, and documentation aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing requirements when applicable. Qualifications Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare, preschool, or private school settings. Extremely patient with the children Knowledge of early childhood education principles including curriculum development. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques tailored for young children. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and external specialists. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development milestones and classroom management best practices. Certification or training in childcare or early childhood education is preferred; ongoing professional development in areas such as math or physical education is a plus. Ability to create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes child welfare while supporting individual learning needs.
