Full time daycare preschool infant toddler teacher Cubs' Den Daycare Peachtree Corners, GA Job Details Full-time $29,000 - $30,000 a year 11 hours ago Qualifications Infant care Full Job Description Job Overview The Cubs' Den is the on-campus day care center for Wesleyan faculty and staff. The open position is for a lead infant room caregiver to provide a positive learning environment rooted in Christian faith for children of our faculty and staff. The position follows the Wesleyan school calendar. Hours are Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Summers off!! Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional growth aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction. Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and transitions smoothly to foster a positive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Maintain detailed records of children's progress, including assessments related to childhood development milestones and standardized testing where applicable. Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences tailored to individual children's needs. Engage in ongoing lesson planning, classroom management, and professional development to stay current with best practices in preschool and toddler care. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Experience developing curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills. Proven classroom management skills to maintain an organized and nurturing environment for toddlers and infants. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children. Ability to adapt teaching strategies for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other early childhood educational approaches is a plus. Competence in documenting child progress through assessments and supporting their welfare through attentive childcare practices.
