Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and educational quality. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning. Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a warm, supportive atmosphere.
